Wildflower's Infant/Toddler Program

Buttercups

Introducing the new infant/toddler program at Wildflower! We are now enrolling students ages 6 months to 2 years to our Buttercup classroom. Our infant/toddler program is an intimate program with a class ratio of 4:1. Each child will have their own individualized schedule depending on the child's development and needs. When children begin to exhibit preschool preparedness we will meet with parents/families to discuss the transition into the Clover classroom.

Play Based Learning

The Buttercup classroom has a warm and calming atmosphere that allows children to grow and learn at their own pace. Toys, books, and materials are organized by developmental milestones and are regularly cycled when needed. All classroom materials are sustainably sourced, age appropriate, open-ended, and are used for play-based learning. Children are encouraged to play, move around, and explore their imagination.

Outdoor Learning

In our outdoor space, we have age appropriate equipment to help with fine and gross motor development. Our outdoor equipment is accessible for children of all abilities. We are eager to work with families to create individualized plans and goals as needed. Our outdoor space encourages open-ended play, creative opportunities, and imagination seeking play. Outside enrichment is the foundation of our school and a top priority of our daily rhythm.
