Meet The Teachers and Family

Madeline (She/Her)

Director + Preschool/Homeschool Teacher

Hi! I am Madeline, the owner and teacher of Wildflower Outdoor Learning Center (WOLC). I am a licensed preschool teacher, K-12 educator, and I have over 14 years of working in childcare. I have dreamt of opening WOLC for over seven years and my dreams have finally coming true! In October of 2022, I took on a new responsibility of becoming a parent when I adopted my nine year old Leon. We use a gentle/psychological parenting approach with using positive reinforcement to correct unwanted behaviors. As a family we spend our free time foraging in the woods, hiking, camping, enjoying our friends and families company, cooking healthy meals, and traveling. I love to garden, buy an excessive amount of plants, eat chocolate, drink matcha and coffee, and read teaching and parenting books.

Meg (They/Them)

Infant/Toddler Teacher

Hi, I’m Teacher Meg, I identify as non-binary and use they/them pronouns. I hold a Bachelor's in Fine Arts and have over 10 years of experience working with children in a variety of settings. My background includes nannying, teaching swim lessons, and leading elementary art projects. I love using my creative thinking to guide my decision-making and problem-solving when it comes to working with kids in the classroom. When I’m not teaching, you can find me outdoors—whether it's swimming, hiking, gardening, or planting tons of flowers! You can catch me in the classroom singing and dancing to all music. At home, I’m a proud cat mom to a gray longhair named Stinky Baby, who definitely has some attitude problems. But I channel her antics into emotional learning activities, like puppetry, to connect with the kids in class. I'm also a professional thrifter—buying used items to support sustainability is something I’m passionate about.

Raina (She/Her)

Infant/Toddler + Preschool Assistant Teacher & After School Program Leader

Hello! I am Teacher Raina and I am so excited to be a part of your Wildflower's journey through early childhood education. Teacher Madeline and I met in the second grade and have been family ever since. Getting to watch Madeline grow Wildflower was inspiring and I couldn't be more excited to be a part of it. I love being able to play with the children outside, watch their imaginations blossom, and help guide children in setting boundaries and respecting their peers. I also work with High School students, as a head swim coach. When I am not working, I enjoy snuggling with my cat, reading books, playing DND, camping, hanging out with friends, and spending quality time with my family.
