Meet The Teachers and Family
Madeline (She/Her)
Director / Head Teacher
Hi there! I’m Teacher Madeline, the heart behind Wildflower Outdoor Learning Center.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved the outdoors, climbing trees, getting muddy, and discovering the magic tucked into every corner of nature. That same sense of wonder has guided me throughout my 14 years working in childcare and as a licensed elementary teacher.
Over the years, I’ve seen how children come alive when they’re given the freedom to explore, play, and connect with the natural world. I dreamed of creating a place where learning feels joyful and authentic, where curiosity leads the way and every child feels seen, supported, and inspired.

That dream became Wildflower Outdoor Learning Center. We are a school built from my heart, shaped by years of experience, and inspired by my own children, now 10 and 11.
As a mom, I understand how important it is for kids to feel safe, loved, and free to be themselves. Our family practices sustainable living and gentle, positive parenting, and those same values flow through everything we do at Wildflower. Here, we dig in the dirt, splash in puddles, ask big questions, and celebrate the simple joys of being a kid.

Wildflower isn’t just a school, it’s the place I wish every child could grow up in, surrounded by nature, nurtured by community, and encouraged to bloom in their own unique way.

Meg (They/Them)
Co-Director / Head Teacher
Hi, I’m Teacher Meg, I identify as non-binary and use they/them pronouns. I hold a Bachelor's in Fine Arts and have over 10 years of experience working with children in a variety of settings. My background includes being a parent of two, nannying, teaching swim lessons, and leading elementary art projects. I love using my creative thinking to guide my decision-making and problem-solving when it comes to working with kids in the classroom. When I’m not teaching, you can find me outdoors with my family, whether it's swimming, hiking, gardening, or planting tons of flowers! You can catch me in the classroom singing and dancing to all music encouraging the act of silliness. I am passionate about emotional learning activities, like puppetry, to connect with the kids in class.

Sabine (She/Her)
Head Infant/Toddler Teacher + Preschool Teacher Assistant
Hi, I'm Teacher Sabine!
I’m a nature-loving mama of two wild and wonderful girls who get to join me each day at Wildflower. As both a parent and teacher, I embrace a gentle, conscious approach that centers connection, respect, and rhythm. I'm passionate about guiding children through play-based experiences that spark curiosity, build confidence, and nurture a deep love for the natural world.
When I’m not teaching at Wildflower, you’ll likely find me outside with my girls, crafting, gardening, reading, or baking for my sourdough microbakery, The Untamed Crumb. Whether in the classroom or at home, I find joy in slowing down, staying present, and creating space for growth, mess, and wonder.
